There I was, in bed, watching TED talks on my laptop (one of the joys of being single). Janine Benyus had dozens of cool examples of Biomimicry in action, http://bit.ly/keBLz (biomimicry is what engineers do when they copy design solutions from nature) but I was a bit sleepy and closed my eyes for a moment. When I opened them a few minutes later there was a picture by me on the screen and 'Dr Adam Nieman' in big letters. (The picture was Global air and water http://bit.ly/pnMfC) Was I dreaming? No. It stayed there for a good long time while Benyus wrapped up her talk. So I was there (by proxy) at TED. Nice one :-)
